Everyone knows that Freedom has a price. I may not like it or care for it but I learned all to well in the military that we must stand for those that cheer for us and those that might jeer at us. The military is an extension of the civilian government and we are more accessible to receive the strife than those who make the policy and send the military to enforce those policies or orders. You do however need to be vigilant for those that would abuse the freedom to turn attention away from what may harm our freedom. It is a price we pay and I gladly served for and still continue to believe in. A Soldier would gladly defend those that cannot defend themselves even if they did not appreciate them. Its the hazards of the job to be hurt by the very freedom you are protecting.
